Babies & Bagels Club

The Babies and Bagels Club is a monthly group for families with preschool age children designed to create a feeling of community and friendship among young families who are associated with Temple Emanu-El.  This program is offers a way for families to get together to deepen their Jewish knowledge in a non-threatening, all-inclusive and welcoming way.  Babies and Bagels Club consists of events that are fun for the whole family and are based on Jewish content. These include Jewish holiday celebrations (such as the Greatest Hanukkah on Earth and the Purim Extravaganza), fun outings with a Jewish theme (the zoo or a farm for Noah’s Ark, botanical gardens for Tu B’Shevat), and family programs held at temple.

Participants include families in our early childhood education center, other young Temple families, unaffiliated families, families connected to the Jewish community or from the Tucson community at large.  This program is particularly attractive to interfaith families who are exploring their Jewish options at a slow pace. It is a fun and simple way for the family to do something Jewish together, make Jewish connections and build positive Jewish memories.
